About Southbridge Financial Corp.Arthur Freierman founded Southbridge with the intention of blending the advantages of large company expertise with small company flexibility and client dedication. Southbridge relies on its broad network of professionals, who provide the necessary support for any transaction without the costs of large-firm overhead. Too often, dealing with a large firm on a smaller transaction means less attention to the client. Southbridge provides the perfect alternative.Southbridge clients are located throughout North America and turn to Southbridge in connection with their corporate finance and capital acquisition needs. Equipment leasing and financing of the "soft costs" involved in upgrading technology and the office environment are a central part of the financial services Southbridge provides for its clients. Arthur P. Freierman, the President of Southbridge, relies on his extensive range of experience in corporate and asset finance, combining legal and financial expertise with a proven ability to structure and close transactions. He began his involvement in corporate finance in 1980 as an attorney at the prestigious New York firm of Debevoise & Plimpton. While there, he had responsibility for billions of dollars in financings, representing major lending institutions, equity investors in equipment and other assets, and significant corporate customers in every aspect of corporate finance. In 1984, Arthur moved to a corporate environment, expanding his business role in corporate finance. He served as President of the U.S. subsidiary of COS AG, a Swiss company in the equipment leasing and trading business from 1987 to 1994. Under his leadership, the U.S. company achieved annual volume of $200 million, introducing unique structures for the acquisition and lease financing of high technology equipment and promoting prudent asset management through a newly developed software tool for its customers. Following the sale of COS in January 1994, Arthur formed Southbridge. Richard Freierman, Vice President, began his work in computer technology at Computer Design and Applications, Inc. (later purchased by Analogic Corporation), a major supplier of medical imaging and process control systems. As Manager of Product Engineering he was responsible for system configuration, technical documentation, and coordination of engineering support of test sites at major university hospitals throughout the US. Richard has recently completed a consulting assignment as Program Manager for the groundbreaking Massachusetts Institute of Technology conference Image and Meaning: Envisioning and Communicating Science and Technology. He is co-author of Microcomputer Market Place (Random House Electronic Publishing, 1993), Corporate Realities and Environmental Truths (John Wiley & Sons, 1993), and Save the Earth at Work (Bob Adams Inc., 1991). |
